William Schrickel, conductor
Thom Hasenpflug – Bicksa for 4 Percussionists
Charles Ives – Three Places in New England, S.7

Ives’ Three Places in New England, at turns dreamy, funny and haunting, is a brilliantly descriptive masterpiece. Mahler, an Ives admirer, led the premiere of his own groundbreaking, heaven-storming First Symphony in 1888.
