William Schrickel and the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra celebrate the opening of the MSO’s 30th season in an extraordinary collaboration featuring music for massed choruses. The program includes premieres by two Grammy Award-winning composers: William Bolcom’s dramatic Prometheus features pianist Jeffrey Biegel and depicts the Greek god who stole fire from Zeus and gave it to mortals, and Michael Daugherty’s inspiring Mount Rushmore sets the words of four great American presidents.
