Principal players of the MSO are the soloists in Ravel’s elegant Introduction and Allegro, while the brass take center stage in music of Grieg and the winds are featured in Strauss’ early Serenade. The concert concludes with Stravinsky’s Petrushka, the vibrant, colorful ballet score that tells the story of three puppets who magically come to life and experience the full range of human emotions.
